ArcherEye Terms of Use

Welcome to ArcherEye! These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ArcherEye ("the Platform"), a web application created by Lasallian students for the De La Salle University (DLSU) community. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Nature of the Platform

ArcherEye is a student-built, non-commercial, and unofficial platform designed to help DLSU students and professors share feedback through professor reviews and comments. ArcherEye is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of De La Salle University.

2. Eligibility

ArcherEye is intended only for members of the DLSU community, specifically:

• DLSU undergraduate and graduate students, and
• DLSU professors and academic staff.

Users must authenticate using their official Google accounts to confirm eligibility. Unauthorized access or misrepresentation of identity may result in account suspension or removal.

3. User Responsibilities

By using ArcherEye, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when registering and using the platform.
• Post reviews and comments that are truthful, respectful, and free from malicious intent.
• Avoid using the platform to harass, defame, or spread false information about professors, students, or other members of the community.
• Refrain from impersonating others or misusing another user’s credentials.
• Use the platform only for lawful and academic purposes related to the DLSU community.

4. User Content

All reviews, comments, and submissions you post on ArcherEye (collectively, “User Content”) remain your intellectual property. However, by posting User Content, you grant ArcherEye a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the platform.

ArcherEye reserves the right to remove or moderate User Content that:

• Violates these Terms of Use or DLSU’s Code of Conduct,
• Contains offensive, defamatory, or false statements,
• Includes personal or sensitive data about others without consent,
• Is spam, promotional, or unrelated to the purpose of the platform.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. ArcherEye collects and processes personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All code, design, graphics, and non-user content on ArcherEye are owned by the student developers or licensed third parties. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without written permission.

The ArcherEye name, logo, and branding elements are used solely for this student initiative and are not official trademarks of DLSU.

7. Platform Availability

ArcherEye is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The student maintainers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform at any time without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer of Liability

ArcherEye is a student-developed tool and makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, or suitability of reviews or platform content. The developers are not liable for:

• Any reliance placed on user-generated reviews or comments,
• Data loss, downtime, or system errors,
• Any damages arising from use or inability to use the Platform.

All content is user-generated and reflects personal opinions, not institutional evaluations or official records.

9. Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter content that violates these Terms, you may report it through the platform or by contacting contact@archer-eye.com. The maintainers may remove offending content, restrict access, or suspend accounts at their discretion.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated periodically to reflect platform improvements or policy changes. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
